Here We Go Again!



So, finally I have decided to pen down my tryst with CAT. I have been telling myself to start writing about prepration from long but today finally I am starting up to keep a track down of my prepration. I admit that till now I have been a total faliure when it comes to mocks this season. I know what matters is how well I fair out on D-day. So here goes the story till now:

Mocks taken >12

Over 97%tile >3

Over99%tile >1

Will try to post regularly here... at least after each mock I write!

    hey buddy... nice scores you got there... am bungling up my aimcats here :(... anyway, i plan to be better prepared next year [unless i got some dumb luck]... in the mean time, i would love to pick ur brain on this one... how did u go about yur preps? i havent seen 90%ile in all my aimcats yet...

    Hey..Dude! tx for D gud wordz..but my scores aren't that deserving.

    the change in Cat brought down my scores 2 a good extent but I feel its picking up. Keep practicing, don't feel too sad after the bad mocks n don't go 2 happy after the good ones. Just target that you score n a better percentile than the previous mock.

    QA-- you can practice topics from any study material, then take questions on corresponding topics from various aimcats you have written. Sectional tests can help considerably.

    DI is more of a natural ability. You can practice it from previous mocks and the mocks you are giving (that should suffice)

    I am still not too good at VA still all I can say is read read and read. At the end of the day it is how you play with words. Parajumbles , Paracompletions, and CRs can be practiced from pagalguy(it has got separate thread for all three) and from the mocks you have given so far. For reading you can read I new article each day from www.aldaily.com. You can also read the editorials from online edition of Hindu. try reading diverse topics.

    :)...thanks for the tips... seems FMS too has jumped onto the CAT bandwagon after the IITs... dunno if it is a good thing or a bad one... anyway...catch me @FB...

    am still a sitting duck with quant and that is affecting my DI sadly... that i cant choose which section to start from affects my VA which is my forte...
